Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming contacts from guests around the world, responding to their queries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing reservation requests and supporting basic loyalty and customer care requests
  • Identifying guest reservation needs and following sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for special booking rules and requests, loyalty guidelines, and case management
  • Providing customer support through assistance and guidance in issue resolution, and open communication with Marriott properties, related company contacts, and third parties
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, protecting company assets, and protecting the privacy and security of guests and coworkers
  • Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience is required, but a passion for delivering exceptional customer service is essential
  • The ability to work independently from home, with a reliable internet connection and a safe and secure workspace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and third-party vendors
  • A strong attention to detail, with the ability to process information accurately and efficiently
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or hospitality environment
  • A degree in a related field, such as hospitality, business, or communications
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience working with a variety of software systems and tools
