Elementary English Teacher (Reading & Writing) | Summer 2026, Remote
Job Description
Wonder Spark Learning is seeking engaging and skilled online elementary English teachers to lead small-group reading and writing classes for students in Grades 1–5 during Summer 2026. We are a growing online education company focused on helping students develop strong reading comprehension, writing skills, and confidence in expressing their ideas through structured and interactive instruction. We are looking for teachers who are comfortable planning and delivering their own lessons, guiding students through reading and writing activities, and creating an engaging virtual classroom experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach live, online English classes focused on reading and writing (Grades 1–5)
- Plan and deliver structured lessons that support:
- Reading comprehension
- Vocabulary development
- Writing skills (sentences, paragraphs, short compositions)
- Guide students through discussions, reading activities, and writing exercises
- Provide feedback to help students improve clarity, organization, and expression
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment
Class Details
- Schedule: Summer 2026 (June–August)
- Class Length: 30–50 minutes per session
- Format: Live, online instruction (Zoom or similar platform)
- Class Size: Small groups (2–8 students)
Qualifications
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary English / Language Arts (Grades 1–5)
- Strong understanding of reading comprehension and writing instruction
- Ability to independently plan and deliver effective lessons
- Strong communication and student engagement skills in an online setting
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Bachelor’s degree required
Compensation
- $20–$25 per hour (based on experience and class size)
- Opportunities for additional teaching hours and continued roles beyond summer
