Clinical Field Educator RN
Join our team as a Clinical Field Educator (RN) and make a meaningful impact by training, mentoring, and supporting new field clinicians. This role blends hands-on instruction with collaborative coaching to strengthen both patient care and clinician performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide new field clinicians through an 8-week orientation program.
- Assess clinical skills and knowledge to ensure readiness for independent practice.
- Facilitate performance-based learning pathways tailored to individual needs.
- Provide in-field coaching and small group training sessions.
- Customize orientation plans and implement remediation strategies when needed.
- Track progress, document performance, and address areas of concern.
- Oversee preceptor assignments and provide clear direction.
- Conduct orientation calls and communicate readiness plans with leadership.
- Perform clinical skill checks and evaluate competency for patient visits.
- Identify and support first-year clinicians requiring additional guidance.
- Develop, implement, and document remediation plans as appropriate.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Monday–Friday with occasional evening and weekend requirements.
- Week 1: In-person training.
- Weeks 2–8: Primarily remote with scheduled in-field training.
Travel
- Routine travel within the Grand Rapids area (approximately 1–1.5 hours).
