Job Description
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the logistics category to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and service levels.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with logistics providers.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with company objectives.
- Analyze market trends and provide insights to support decision-making in procurement activities.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.

The Successful Applicant A successful Strategic Sourcing Buyer - Logistics should have:
- A solid understanding of procurement and supply chain principles, particularly in the logistics category.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing market data and supplier performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving cost savings and operational improvements.
What's on Offer
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 3-7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or logistics buying
- Proven experience negotiating freight, transportation, or logistics service contracts
- Strong understanding of transportation markets and logistics cost drivers
- Experience working with carriers, brokers, and 3PLs
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with large spend categories and multi-site operations
