Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch medical transport requests promptly using transportation management systems and GPS technology
- Communicate clearly with healthcare providers, drivers, patients, and other stakeholders via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette standards
- Monitor real-time vehicle locations using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GPS tools to ensure on-time arrivals and departures
- Enter accurate data into systems
- Optimize routes through transportation planning principles, considering factors like traffic, patient needs, and vehicle availability
- Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, incidents, and statuses for compliance and reporting purposes

- Proficiency with mapping tools and phone use
- Strong analysis skills to evaluate routes, schedules, and operational data for efficiency improvements
- Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with diverse stakeholders
