Remote Contract CPA — Tax & Payroll Operations Barnhart Wealth Management / On Point CRNA Fully Remote | 1099 Contractor | $9,500–$12,500/month retainer We’re a fee-only, tax-forward advisory firm serving CRNAs and other high-income healthcare professionals nationwide. We’re hiring a licensed CPA to help us scale the tax and payroll side of the business the right way.

• This is not a generic preparer role.
• This is not an all-day client-facing role.
• This is a high-trust contractor role for someone who likes solving real tax and operational problems, working independently, and building clean systems behind the scenes.

What the role looks like You’ll own a meaningful portion of our tax/payroll execution engine, including:

• 1040 and S-corp / business tax support
• payroll and Gusto-related coordination
• tax projections and recommendation support
• notices, cleanup, and follow-through
• onboarding-related tax and entity implementation
• occasional client-facing support when technical tax input is needed

Our advisors are the face of the relationship. Your role is to make the technical side sharper, faster, and more reliable. Who this is a fit for

• You hold an active CPA license
• You’re strong in individual returns, business returns, payroll/compliance, and tax operations
• You can work independently in a remote setting
• You care about clean execution, deadlines, and detail
• You like being the person who keeps things from falling apart

Bonus points for

• Gusto experience
• Multi-state tax experience
• Tax planning experience
• Experience working with 1099-heavy or healthcare-professional clients
• Comfort with modern, AI-supported workflows

Compensation

• $7,000–$10,000 monthly retainer, depending on experience and recurring scope
