Role Description Are you ready to leave the physical demands of clinical practice behind – without leaving veterinary medicine? As an Associate Veterinarian at Pet Poison Helpline, you'll provide expert toxicology consultations by phone, email, and chat to veterinarians and other veterinary clinic professionals. Your responsibilities include:

• Documenting cases in our electronic medical records system.
• Supporting and guiding veterinary support and technician staff in the contact center.
• Collaborating with veterinarian coworkers on case management.

We provide comprehensive training from day one to help you be prepared and successful in your role.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota veterinary license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• 3+ years of clinical experience; emergency or internship experience strongly preferred.
• Clear, compassionate communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinker who can juggle complex, fast-moving cases.
• Must be able to gather and analyze complex information and have sound and accurate judgement.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking and accuracy.
• Advanced proficiency with keyboarding, PCs, Microsoft Office and common computer software and hardware.
• Ability to work varying shifts as assigned including days, evenings and holidays.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and live in one of our approved hiring states as found on our careers page.

Requirements

• Reliable internet meeting SCI’s IT requirements.
• Dedicated, distraction-free workspace during all working hours with no other responsibilities during shifts (including care of dependents or animals).

Pay & Differentials

• Base pay: $48–$50/hour, varies based on several factors including education, experience and credentialing.
• Full Time Employees eligible for a $3/hour evening differential on top of your base rate.
• All Full and Part Time Employees eligible for a $5/hour weekend differential earned for all hours worked between 12am Saturday and 4am Monday.
• Weekend hours: Full Time team members earn $56–$58/hour and Part Time Team members earn $53-$55/hour, all from the comfort of your home!
