Job Description

We are seeking an Engineer/Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux engineering, scripting, automation, and infrastructure operations and a proven ability to design, implement, and support secure, reliable Linux environments with effective monitoring and automation . Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain servers in Linux environments. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies. Monitor Linux server health through automated and manual processes. Design, develop, and implement monitoring and reporting tools using scripts such as Bash and PowerShell. Perform server hardware maintenance and upgrades. Create test automation frameworks in collaboration with team members and partner teams. Develop tools to increase functionality and efficiency of infrastructure. Maintain software repositories and apply software updates. Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent. 5+ years of experience with Linux operating systems, including virtualized environments. Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or a related language. Experience with Ping, SSO, and certificate management. Knowledge of automation technologies and Linux scripting languages. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as BIND, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx. Understanding of configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef. Experience with application support, web technologies, APIs, and microservices. Knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills with effective communication. Self-motivated with a focus on automation and continuous learning. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud computing. Experience with open-source application suites such as WordPress or Drupal. Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Role Logistics & Process Details: Work arrangement: Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days onsite each week. Onsite day 1 required. Start month: July. Interview process: 1-2 rounds. In-person required. Video required. Submission guidance: Maximum of 3 submissions per vendor. ID verification: Glider ID verification required. Technology Focus: Primary: Linux. Secondary: Spring Boot. Tertiary: DevOps.
