Online High School Math Teacher - AP Calculus
Our client, a pioneering online educational institution, is seeking a passionate and highly qualified Online High School Math Teacher specializing in AP Calculus. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to inspire and educate students from across the country. You will be responsible for delivering engaging online instruction, developing curriculum, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of AP Calculus content, extensive teaching experience, and expertise in leveraging educational technology to enhance student learning outcomes. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, engaging online instruction for AP Calculus courses, adhering to the AP curriculum framework. Develop and implement lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles. Utilize various educational technologies and online platforms to create an interactive and dynamic virtual classroom experience. Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments, projects, and assessments. Monitor student progress, identify areas of difficulty, and provide targeted academic support. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and academic advisors regarding student performance and progress. Facilitate online discussions, encourage student participation, and foster a collaborative learning community. Develop and update curriculum materials to ensure relevance and alignment with AP standards. Administer and proctor online exams and assessments in accordance with AP guidelines. Maintain accurate student records and grades. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in online education and AP Calculus instruction. Collaborate with other educators and staff to improve the online learning experience. Address student inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the institution's online programs. Qualifications: Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. Valid teaching license or certification with a relevant endorsement for high school mathematics. AP Calculus teaching experience and proven success in preparing students for the AP exam is highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level. Experience with online teaching platforms and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle). Strong understanding of pedagogical best practices for online learning environments. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to design engaging and interactive online learning experiences. Proficiency in utilizing educational technology tools. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A passion for mathematics and a commitment to student success. Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace.
