Steel Transmission Foreman
Role Overview Performs inspection, maintenance, and/or restoration of transmission and distribution steel utility structures. Directly supervises field crews while planning, organizing, and coordinating daily field operations for various job types.
What You Will Do
Perform work according to standard work practices, procedures, and customer specifications. Maintain good customer and public relations, and promote and enforce safety. Why It Might Be a Fit Must have good communication skills, work well under pressure, and be familiar with a production-related environment. Able to work in an outdoor environment including traversing difficult terrain.
Requirements
- Two years technical education or equivalent work experience
- Willing and able to travel extensively
- Capable of reading and interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Familiar with shop machinery and/or hand tools required for various tasks
- Good math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
- Ability to identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks
- Good communication skills, work well under pressure, and familiar with a production-related environment
- Able to work in an outdoor environment including traversing difficult terrain
- Ability to pass a DOT medical exam
