Position Overview

The Associate Manager, Clinical Health Services is a pivotal leadership role within our organization. In this fully remote position, you will oversee the execution and continuous improvement of healthcare management services for an assigned functional area. You will serve as a clinical subject matter expert, mentor, and change agent, guiding a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care. Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership and Oversight: Direct the implementation of healthcare management services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements such as NCQA, URAC, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary clinical resource and mentor for your team, providing guidance on practice standards, quality interventions, problem resolution, and critical thinking strategies.
  • Best Practice Development: Identify, implement, and monitor best practice approaches and innovative solutions designed to address member needs comprehensively across the continuum of care.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison with other key business areas to ensure integrated service delivery and alignment of clinical objectives with broader organizational strategies.
  • Training and Education: Contribute to the development, review, and delivery of training content, and may lead inter- and intra-departmental instructional sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Safeguard member information and adhere strictly to organizational policies regarding confidentiality, data security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Care Plan Management: Oversee the identification of members in need of services, the development and execution of individualized care plans, and the continuous monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of care outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for intervention that enhance member outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Performance Management: Establish, communicate, and evaluate performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive individual and collective success.
  • Technology Utilization: Ensure the team fully understands and effectively leverages information system capabilities and functionalities to optimize workflow and member engagement.
  • Talent Acquisition: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, utilizing clearly defined criteria related to education, experience, technical proficiency, and performance capabilities.
  • Team Development: Assess developmental needs and collaborate with leadership to design and implement action plans that support the growth of high-performing teams.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a clinical specialty area, with demonstrated competence in care management, case management, or related healthcare services.
  • An active and unrestricted RN (Registered Nurse) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) licensure in the state of residence is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards, including NCQA, URAC, and applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive results in a remote or distributed work environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort and proficiency working independently from a home office, using digital collaboration tools to connect with teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing Medicare populations or working within government healthcare programs.
  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field, social work, nursing (BSN preferred), or a related discipline.
  • Additional professional certifications relevant to case management, healthcare quality, or clinical leadership.
  • Experience designing and delivering training content for clinical teams.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and process improvement initiatives.
