The Opportunity: Senior Voice of the Customer Data Architect

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Voice of the Customer Data Architect to lead the transformation and innovation of our end-to-end Voice of the Customer (VoC) methodology. This is a remote position offering competitive compensation of $35/hour, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in select locations.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data architectures that power our customer feedback systems. You will work closely with product managers, process owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your expertise will directly influence how arenaflex captures, processes, and acts upon customer feedback across multiple languages and global markets.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Voice of the Customer Data Architect at arenaflex, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and Implementing Data Solutions: Collaborate with application teams to define, build, and capture business requirements for our Voice of the Customer systems. You will architect scalable data solutions that integrate seamlessly with our existing infrastructure.
  • Building Robust Data Architectures: Develop and maintain robust data model architectures to support high-quality data processing and standardized metric definitions. Your designs will ensure consistency and accuracy across all customer feedback channels.
  • Leading Big Data Analytics Initiatives: Leverage transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver innovative analytical solutions. You will ensure data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use-case levels.
  • Driving Process Improvements: Provide technical guidance to enhance competencies and drive efficiency in computing programs using our massive data ecosystem. You will identify opportunities to optimize performance and streamline operations.
  • Consumer Tale Analysis and Development: Lead consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software programs, and create testing and automation tools that improve operational efficiency.
  • Automating Manual Processes: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency across our Voice of the Customer processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with partners from various business units to prioritize, define, increase, and test data for various use cases as part of the VoC end-to-end methodology.
  • Platform Integration: Support the improvement and preservation of the new Voice of the Customer technique sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with the Survey and Dashboard Platform hosted through Qualtrics—our trusted survey vendor.

Essential Qualifications

  • Technical Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and Shell Scripting languages. You should have proven experience in development launch management and troubleshooting for data-pushed tasks.
  • Agile Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery in which small increments of a product are introduced at regular intervals to business groups. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
  • Functional to Technical Translation: The ability to actively collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
  • Data Architecture Expertise: Strong experience in designing and building data model architectures that support high-volume data processing and standardized metric definitions.
  • Big Data Technologies: Demonstrated proficiency in working with big data technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone data integration
  • Background in Voice of the Customer methodologies
  • Experience working in multinational or cross-cultural teams
  • Understanding of survey design and deployment across multiple languages
