Head of Digital Marketing - E-commerce (FMCG)
About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) space, is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Digital Marketing to lead their e-commerce marketing initiatives. This is a crucial role focused on driving online sales, enhancing brand visibility, and optimizing customer engagement through sophisticated digital strategies. The position is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the US, but requires deep engagement with the dynamic market landscape. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital marketing roadmap, encompassing SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content strategy, and performance analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, proven success in driving online growth for consumer brands, and a passion for leveraging data to inform marketing decisions. You will collaborate closely with e-commerce operations, product teams, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive and impactful digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a data-driven digital marketing strategy to drive e-commerce sales and customer acquisition. Manage and optimize all paid digital advertising campaigns (SEM, social media ads, display). Oversee the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and traffic. Lead content marketing initiatives, including blog posts, social media content, and website copy, to engage target audiences. Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, including automation, segmentation, and performance tracking. Analyze website performance, user behavior, and conversion rates to identify optimization opportunities. Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring maximum ROI on marketing spend. Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, e-commerce, and the FMCG industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints. Manage relationships with digital marketing agencies and technology vendors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on e-commerce and online sales growth, preferably within the FMCG sector . Proven success in developing and executing successful SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing strategies. Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and A/B testing methodologies. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience managing remote teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Experience managing budgets and external agencies. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment. Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
