Analyst/Associate - Advisory & Commercial Strategy (Life Sciences practice)
Charles River Associates is a leading global consulting firm that provides economic, financial, and business management expertise to clients worldwide. The Analyst/Associate role in the Life Sciences practice involves working closely with senior consultants to deliver high-impact solutions, conducting research and analysis, and contributing to client deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior colleagues to formulate strategy recommendations and solutions that address client needs
- Conduct independent research to identify, collect, manage and analyze data
- Contribute to internal discussions that build insights from the analytical process and integrating findings into broader project deliverables
- Conduct telephone or face-to-face interviews with clients or external stakeholders
- Assume responsibility for generating sections of client presentations, reports, and other client deliverables (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Excel workbooks)
- Proactively develop knowledge of the life sciences industry and consulting methodologies
- Contribute to initiatives which improve workplace dynamics and day-to-day project delivery
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier academic institution
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the life sciences industry
- Core analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to conduct targeted secondary research and synthesize findings to answer client business questions
- Eye for detail and self-motivated to deliver high quality work on time
- General understanding of business processes
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations when required
- Some knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques ideal but not required
- Previous consulting experience (1-2 years), but this is not required
