[Remote] Housing Counselor - Level 1
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Navicore Solutions is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting financial wellness through education and support. They are seeking a Housing Counselor to provide housing counseling to homeowners, educate them on financial products, and assist in creating customized action plans.
Responsibilities
- Educate homeowners on various financial products and align their financial goals
- Deliver clear, consistent client education and program guidelines
- Provide resources and customized client action plans to clients as needed
- Conduct high-volume inbound and outbound phone communication with clients in a professional manner
- Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective telephone engagement
- Accurately enter, update, and transfer client data in applicable systems
- Participate in required training sessions related to programs, services, and compliance
- Meet established performance, productivity, and behavioral expectations
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards; incorporate feedback from management
Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Required to obtain HUD Housing Counselor Certification within 30 days of hire (study materials provided)
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to punctuality and dependable attendance
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate professionally in a high-volume call center setting (inbound and outbound)
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately
- Ability to spend the majority of the workday on the phone
- Must be computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including typing at least 40 words per minute
- Willingness and availability to attend all required training courses
- Prior call center experience required; mortgage and/or housing industry experience is a plus
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen
- College Degree Preferred or relevant work experience
- Demonstrated empathy while maintaining clear guidance and direction for clients
- Must have a positive and professional attitude
