Role Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy Certified Pharmacy Clerk to join our remote data entry team. In this role, you will be the critical link between our pharmacists and the digital systems that power prescription processing for all Ontario arenaflex pharmacies. You will work primarily from our Vaughan, ON hub, handling a blend of in‑person tasks and remote data entry responsibilities. This position offers a guaranteed 25–40 hours per week, with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $22.50.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Profile Management: Assist the pharmacist in updating patient records and entering prescription details into the pharmacy computer system, adhering strictly to provincial regulations and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Prescription Preparation Support: Under direct pharmacist supervision, help with bringing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labeling, and pricing prescriptions, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed at all times.
  • Remote Data Entry: Accurately input prescription information for all arenaflex pharmacies across Ontario, utilizing our integrated software platform to guarantee seamless data flow between the central fill hub and retail locations.
  • Insurance & Accounting Tasks: Prepare third‑party insurance claims, process invoices, and make accounting entries using the computerized system, contributing to timely reimbursement and financial accuracy.
  • Inventory Management – Prescription Drugs: Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription medications and related supplies, following strict product storage procedures and temperature control standards.
  • Inventory Management – Over‑the‑Counter (OTC) Products: Order, receive, tag, and stock OTC items in line with the merchandising plan, create product signage, and conduct roaming checks to ensure optimal shelf presentation.
  • Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in other warehouse areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever the operation requires.
  • Technology & Robotics Collaboration: Work closely with the robotics team to understand automated dispensing systems, troubleshoot minor issues, and suggest improvements that enhance efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completed a pharmacy diploma from a recognized community college.
  • Relevant provincial certification (e.g., Pharmacy Technician certification) as required by Ontario regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy software; familiarity with arenaflex software is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy legislation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, especially when entering large volumes of data.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles for both prescription and OTC products.
  • Ability to work a consistent 8‑hour shift schedule, with flexibility to cover peak periods as needed.

  • Current or recent experience working in a pharmacy setting, preferably within a central fill or mail‑order environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with robotics or automated dispensing equipment.
  • Proficiency in using digital pharmacy platforms and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software tools.
